5.1.1 Configuring WEP security

Authentication Type:
Select Open or Shared authentication.
 Encryption Type: Select WEP .

WEP Key (1-4):
Insert WEP keys to use and select which one to use for
data encryption.

Hexadecimal/ ASCII:
Select input format for the key.
Press Show Password to view keys in clear mode.
How to configure WEP security:
If you select 64bit in Hex format, you must type 10 values in
the following range (0~F, hexadecimal), or 64bit in ASCII
format, you must type 5 values in the following range (0~9,
A~Z and a~z Alphanumeric).
If you select 128bit in Hex format, you must type 26 values
(0~F, hexadecimal), or 128bit in ASCII format, you must type
13 values in the following range (0~9, A~Z and a~z
Alphanumeric).
ASCII HEX
64 bit 5*X 10*Y
128 bit 13*X 26*Y
X=[(0~9, A~Z, a~z Alphanumeric]
Y=[0~9, A~F Hexadecimal]
Be sure that the USB Adapter and the wireless station (AP)
were set in the same key.
WEP is not completely secure. If possible please use WPA-PSK.
