SWITCHING MODES OF USE
The speakerphone and handset mode are switchable, when in speakerphone
mode, pick up the handset and the telephone will switch to handset mode.
When in handset mode, press the speakerphone / headset button, hang up
the handset, and the telephone will switch to speakerphone automatically.
The speakerphone and headset mode are not switchable. When the headset is
connected to the telephone the headset will start working, the speakerphone
will not function when the headset is connected, when the headset is
disconnected from the telephone, i.e., unplugged, the speakerphone will work
again automatically.

HEARING AID COMPATIBILITY
For hearing aid users, an inductive coupler has been installed in the handset to
improve audible efficiency.
VOL+ & VOL-
• In On Hook Mode, press the Vol+ & Vol- keys to adjust the ringer volume,
there are four levels i.e., Off, Low, Medium and High
• Handset Mode, press the Vol+ & Vol- keys to adjust the handset volume,
there are three levels
• Headset Mode, press the Vol+ & Vol- keys to adjust the headset volume,
there are three levels
• Speakerphone Mode, press the Vol+ & Vol- keys to adjust the
speakerphone volume, there are three levels
TRANSFER KEY (RECALL)
Berkshire 620 telephones are provided with a ‘TRANSFER’ key, required by
modern public and private exchanges, in order to gain access to various
features such as ‘transferring a call’.
REDIAL KEY
If you wish to redial the last number you dialled, you can do so by either
lifting the handset and pressing the ‘REDIAL’ button or if you’re in Headset
or Speakerphone Mode pressing the REDIAL button will also redial the last
number you dialled.
