Part 4 – Operation
4.1
General
Check to see that sample is running through the flow assembly. Sample flow is controlled at 200
ml./min. If the system was not purchased with the flow control element, adjust the flow through
the system with a valve placed on the outlet side of the flow assembly. Recheck all wiring and
verify that the power supply is in the range of 12-24 VDC for external DC systems, and 12VDC for
battery systems. Note that battery powered systems will run from 12VDC down to about 7 VDC.
The controller does not contain a power switch. It will operate as soon as DC power is applied.
Once power is applied, the system will go through an initialization routine and then will begin to
operate.
4.2
Controller Interface
The user interface for the MetriNet controller consists of a custom display and a membrane
keypad. All functions are accessed from this user interface.
