In order to make the kind of installation shown in Fig.
2.4-10 efficient, it is necessary
to invert the cold water
inlet and the hot water outlet.
The pressure relief and non-return valve has always
to be fitted on the cold water inlet (Fig. 2.4-11).

2.5 CONNECTION AND PIPEWORK
Pipes insulation
We suggest to insulate the cold water pipe to the water
heater and the hot water pipe from the water heater,
because they could freeze during the winter time.
The insulation of the tubes can be obtained by using
some covering in expanded elastomer.
Pipe section
The advisable pipe section is 1/2”. However, if the
appliance is a long way from the point where hot water is
used, a 3/4” pipe section is suggested.
