It is recommendable to use plastic braces respectively a plastic mounting
head when mounting rims of light alloy for not damaging them.
Demounting of a tire
The guidelines of WdK (Trade association of the German rubber industry) has to be observed when
demounting a tire.
Turn resp. adjust the clamped wheel in that way, so that the tire valve is
positioned approximately 10 cm before the mounting head.
Push down the tire bead on the opposite side of the mounting head.
Afterwards lift the tire with a tire lever over the mounting head. While lifting the
tire will slide into the drop center of the rim and enables therefore an easy and
damage-free mounting.
Press the pedal for turning the turntable so that the clockwise rotation can be
started.
Hold thereby the tire lever still on the nozzle of the mounting head by pressing
it against the mounting head.
As soon as 1/3 of the tire bead was running over the rim flange there should
be enough free space to remove the tire lever.
Continue with the rotation until the complete tire is over the rim flange.
