Changing Other Options
The Setup screen allows you to change the options for:
■
Refreshing the Proxy Agent at startup
■
The number of retries on an SNMP time-out
■
The field delimiter for reports that you print in ASCII format

Field Default Description
Refresh Proxy
Agent On Startup TRUE Indicates whether Fault Management
prompts the Proxy Agent to refresh all
its data from the PBX when you start
Fault Management.

TRUE = Fault Management
initializes with new PBX data from
the Proxy Agent.
■
FALSE = Fault Management
initializes using cached (stored)
data from the Proxy Agent.
Number Retries
on SNMP Timeout 4 (retries)
The number of
retries does not
include the
original attempt.
Indicates how many times Fault
Management retries to get data from
the Proxy Agent. Enter a number from
0 to 10.
Default ASCII
Report Field
Delimiter | (pipe) Displays the ASCII character that
separates fields in an ASCII report.
Valid values are:

, (comma)
■
| (pipe)
■
: (colon)
■
; (semicolon)
■
tab
Whatever you choose becomes the
default. You can change this
character for a specific report on the
Output Options screen. (See How to
Save Reports.)
