Answering system

Answering system settings

To delete your outgoing announcement:

When the telephone is in idle mode, press

MENU/

SELECT

to enter the

main menu.
Press

MENU

/SELECT

again to select

Answering sys

Press

MENU

/SELECT

again to select

Announcement

Press

CALL LOG

DIRECTORY

to scroll to

Play current

, then press

MENU

/SELECT

While the announcement is playing, press

DELETE X

to delete the

announcement. The screen shows

Deleted

and the system announces,

“

Deleted

” followed by “

Hello, please leave a message after the tone

.”

When your announcement is deleted, the system answers calls with the

default announcement described on the previous page. You cannot delete the

default announcement.

To reset your outgoing announcement:

Follow steps 1-3 in

When your announcement is reset, the system answers

calls with the default announcement described on the

previous page.

To turn on or off the answering system
To turn the answering system on or off:

to turn the answering system on or off. When the answering

system is turned on, it announces, “

Calls will be answered

” and the

ANS ON

light is on. When the answering system is turned off, it announces,

“

Calls will not be answered”

and the

ANS ON

light is off.
