Cleaning the humidity filter
(only for model KD24178A)
The humidity filter is located at the bottom part of the shelf above the fruit and vegetable drawer.
Filter replacement process:
1.
First remove the upper drawer, following the procedure already
described (if your appliance model has the upper drawer).
2.
Pull out the shelf. First, lift it as far as possible at the front:
then, pull it out from the grooves at the rear side of the appliance,
into which the shelf is fitted.
3.
Carefully turn the shelf around so that the lower side is
facing upwards, and place it onto a flat surface.
4.
Remove the filter: lift up the tab as indicated by arrow 1; then,
slide the filter in the direction indicated by arrow 2.
5.
Wash the filter with water and dry it thoroughly. If there are
stubborn stains on the filter, clean them with mild detergent and a
soft cloth. Then, rinse out the detergent thoroughly with water.
6.
Place the filter back: slide it in the direction indicated by arrow 1
until you hear a click. This indicates that the filter is firmly back in
place.
7.
Turn the shelf around and place it back. Make sure it fits well into
the grooves at the rear wall of the appliance (arrow 1). Then,
carefully place it back over the fruit and vegetable drawer as
indicated by arrow 2.
