Introduction
Performing the recommended maintenance procedures on the SC-104/SC-105 film coaters at the
intervals suggested increases film coater life and ensures high quality coating performance for every

Safety First
Operation of the SC-10X film coater involves air pressure, electrical power, mechanical devices, and the
use of hazardous materials. It is essential that every person servicing or operating the coating applicator
fully understands all hazards, risks, and safety precautions. Refer to

Allow only qualified personnel to perform the following tasks. Follow the safety
instructions in this document and all other related documentation.
CAUTION!
Obtain and read Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) for all materials used.
CAUTION!
Do not expose the solenoid valve (mounted on the intake manifold) to solvents
or coating material. Solvents could damage the valve, and coating material may
clog it.
