Engine Oil and Filter Change

The normal oil change interval is

every 500 hours or one year; which ever
comes first. Engines, which are operated
under severe conditions, may need the
oil changed every 250 hours or every six
months, which ever comes first.  Severe
conditions include: high temperatures,
continuous high loads, and dusty condi-
tions.

To change the oil and filter:
1. Run engine for a few minutes to

warm the engine oil.

2. Remove the drain plug from the bot-

tom of the engine, photo A.

3. Drain oil into suitable container.
4. Remove engine oil filter (photo B),

make sure gasket is also removed. It
may be necessary to remove the rear
skid plate.

5. Put some fresh oil on the new filter

gasket and install new filter.

6. Tighten to specifications on filter

label.

7. Reinstall drain plug. Using oil filler

spout (photo C), refill engine to
capacity with oil as specified.
