Installation
Installing the SpaceLink PC Card Driver
1. Turn ON your computer and enter Windows.
2. Insert the ASUS SpaceLink PC Card into a PCMCIA Type II slot with the
connector side first. The “LNK” and “AIR” LEDs represent the top side and the
“MAC” address sticker represents the bottom side. Push the PC Card into the slot
until it is firmly seated.
CAUTION
: Do not force a misaligned PC Card into the slot. Forcing it will
damage the PC Card or the computer.
3. Windows will automatically detect the ASUS SpaceLink PC Card once it is
inserted into the PCMCIA slot, then the
Add New Hardware Wizard
dialog
appears. Click
Next
.
4. Select
Search for the best driver for your device (Recommended)
. Click
Next
.
5. Specify the location of driver files that match your operation system. Click
Next
.
Windows 98 – [CD]:\Driver\Win98
Windows Me – [CD]:\Driver\WinMe
Windows 2000 – [CD]:\Driver\Win2K
Windows XP – [CD]:\Driver\WinXP
Where [CD] represents the driver letter of your CD-ROM device.
6. Wait while Windows searches for the device driver for the PC Card. It will display
the search result Windows driver file search for the device: “ASUS SpaceLink
WL-100 WLAN PC Card”. Click
Next
.
7. During the installation, Windows may prompt to insert the “Windows CD”, which
