Internal connectors

SATA 6 Gb/s connectors

The SATA 6 Gb/s connector allows you to connect SATA devices such as optical disc

drives and hard disk drives via a SATA cable.

•

The connectors are set to

[IRST Mode]

by default.

•

The M.2_2 socket shares bandwidth with SATA6G_1 port when using M.2 SATA

devices.

•

The SATA6G_7 port shares bandwidth with PCIEX1_2.

•

Before creating a RAID set, refer to the

RAID Configuration Guide

. You can

download the

RAID Configuration Guide

from the ASUS website.

If you installed SATA storage devices, you can create a RAID 0, 1, 5, and 10 configuration

with the Intel

Rapid Storage Technology through the onboard Intel

X299 chipset.
