5.  S/W SETUP

Windows 98

5.3 P3B-1394 Support CD

NOTE: The support CD contents are subject to change at any time without notice.

To begin using your support CD, insert it into your CD-ROM drive and the support CD
installation menu should appear. If the menu does not appear, double-click or run
E:\ASSETUP.EXE (assuming that your CD-ROM drive is drive E:).

•

Intel LDCM Administrator Setup: Installs software to monitor PC systems on
the network within the same bridge address with the Client software installed.
The administrator should install both Client and Administrator Software.

•

Intel LDCM Client Setup: Installs software to monitor PC systems on the lo-
cal system. The LANDesk Client Manager must be installed in order to use the
hardware manager features.

•

Install 1394 Host Controller Driver (for Windows 98 First Edition only): In-
stalls the driver for the onboard 1394 host controller.

•

Install Vortex AU8830 Audio Driver: Installs the audio driver for the onboard
audio chipset.

•

Install Vortex A3D Demo Program: Installs the A3D demo program.

•

Install ASUS PC Probe Vx.xx: Installs a simple utility to monitor your computer’s
fan, temperature, and voltages.

•

Install ASUS Update Vx.xx: Installs a program to help you update your BIOS
or download a BIOS image file.

•

Install PC-Cillin 98 Vx.xx: Installs the PC-cillin virus protection software. View
the online help for more information.

•

Install ADOBE AcroBat Reader Vx.x: Installs the Adobe Acrobat Reader soft-
ware necessary to view user’s manuals saved in PDF format. Updated or other
language versions of this motherboard's manual is available in PDF format at
any of our web sites.

•

Show Motherboard Information: Allows you to view information about your
motherboard, such as product name, BIOS version, and CPU.

•

Browse Support CD: Allows you to view the contents of the CD.

•

ReadMe: Displays the filelist for the included support software.  (Click RIGHT
ARROW on the lower-right corner of the main menu.

•

Exit: Exits the CD installation menu.

Additonal CD Contents: DMI Configuration Utility in the DMI folder, Flash BIOS
writer in the AFLASH folder, IDE Bus Master driver for improved performance
under Windows NT in the BUSMASTR folder, USB patch to fix problems when
using the USB driver under Windows 95 OSR 2.1 in the USBPATCH folder.
