Introduction
Congratulations on your purchase of an ASUS 740DVD Hardware DVD Daughtercard
for the ASUS AGP-V2740 3D Multimedia Accelerator Series. The ASUS 740DVD trans-
forms your computer into a full-function DVD player, and provides you with uncom-
promising high performance hardware MPEG-2 digital video playback capability.

Refer to the
README.TXT
file for important information not available when
this manual was printed. You will find this file on the CD disc supplied with the board
and also in the REALmagic DVD program group after software installation.

NOTE Throughout this document, references are made to the Windows 95/98 direc-
tory or the CD-ROM drive. In general, the Windows directory is called \WINDOWS,
but this is not mandatory. You may have named it something else (e.g., \WIN, \WIN-
DOW95). When references are made to the \WINDOWS directory throughout this
document, you can replace \WINDOWS with your own Windows directory name, if
necessary. This manual also assumes that your CD-ROM drive is drive D:.
