Figure 100: Sight/Temperature Gauge on Hydraulic Oil Tank
Important
Do not over-fill the hydraulic tank.
Do not let the tank level drop below half full. Doing
so can damage the pumps and other hydraulic
components permanently.
1
CAUTION
Burn and eye injury hazard from hot oil spray.
The hydraulic tank is under pressure. Do not
loosen the fill cap or the breather until the oil is
cool.
Figure 101: Hydraulic Suction Line Valves (3)
Important
Make sure the valves underneath the tank are open
(valve handles parallel to the fluid lines,
Figure 101). These valves allow hydraulic oil to flow
to the pumps. If these valves are closed when the
engine is started and operated, serious damage to
to the hydraulic pumps can result. Damage can
begin as soon as the engine starts.

Make sure that the water pump is ready. Make sure
the hoses are in good condition and the water tank
and engine fuel tank are full. Check the engine oil
and air filter. Refer to the Honda
