Intended use
The uninterruptible emergency power supply 1006 with external battery for
mounting on the top hat rail is suitable for continuous power supply in the event of
power failure. Typical areas of use are automation, access controls and security
systems.
The product has been tested in accordance with DIN EN 60950-1 and meets the
requirements. Uses other than this are not permitted.
The product variants have been designed for different voltage ranges on the inputs
and outputs. The technical specifications and installation and use description for
each product variant must be observed („Technical Data“, page 23).
Non-compliance with the technical specifications, an irregular or unapproved
installation or utilisation will mean that death or injury for people are possible,
fire can result, and the product or connected devices can be destroyed.
The product is only suitable for installation in dry and clean interior rooms.
Metal parts must not penetrate into the interior.
The product must be sufficiently ventilated and must not be fitted in closed
housings without suitable heat dissipation.
Fitting must be professionally executed in a suitable electrical distributor box.
After installation and fitting, the responsible technicians must explain to the
operator a safe method for turning off the product and disconnecting it from the
power supply.
The battery must be disconnected when the device is taken out of use. Otherwise
the battery will fully discharge and be irreparably damaged.
The product is only suitable for installation and utilisation in accordance with
these instructions. It is not intended for any other type of use.
