3D Red/Cyan Anaglyph Glasses
Undoubtedly, "jump-out-of -the-screen" stereoscopic 3D technology is a rising trend in entertainment.
In order to let our users experience 3D display in a simple way, ASRock specially provides a set of 3D
Red/Cyan anaglyph glasses in our package.
3D video systems are designed to duplicate this real-world experience by providing each eye a unique
version of the video. The 3D image is created by displaying a separate image for each eye. Objects in
a 3D video might appear to be in front of or behind the screen. To view 3D video, the display technol-
ogy and the corresponding 3D glasses insure that the left eye sees only the video meant for the left
eye, and so on for the right eye.
Mention 3D video, many people are of course familiar with 3D
glasses, one red and one blue, cyan or green lens. The
red/blue system is mainly used for traditional television and
computer 3-D effects, and was used in older 3-D movies.
These glasses use the anaglyphic method of displaying a 3D
image.
Anaglyph images are created by using color filters to remove a
portion of the visible color spectrum from the image meant for
each eye. When viewed through the color filters in the 3D
glasses, each eye only sees the image that contains the
portion of the color spectrum not filtered out by the lens. The
disadvantage of Anaglyphic 3D is obvious; the overall image
quality suffers as a large portion of the color spectrum is filtered
out of the image for each eye.
