MAINTENANCE AND REPAIRS
Before any operations, make sure the electric motor is disengaged and cannot be started up accidentally.
Periodically inspect, at frequencies depending on the fan operating conditions, the cleanliness of all the machine
components (mainly motor and impeller).
Check tightening on all the nuts and bolts, particularly the ones on the hub and the impeller and the ones that secure the motor to
its support. Carry out this operation after the first 100 hours of operation and about every 6 months of continuous operation after
that. Periodically make sure the impeller blades have no deposits that could compromise the machine’s aerodynamic efficiency
and balance (with the risk of damaging the motor bearings) and, in the event, remove them. Also remove any build-up and dust
deposits from the electric motor in order to allow it to cool sufficiently and prevent it from being damaged. Periodically make sure
the ventilation circuit has no build-up or clogs that could force the fan to operate in less than optimal conditions, with the risk of
the fan stalling. Before reassembling the electric motor on the fan after maintenance or repair, make sure that every machine
part is in perfect condition.
During periodic fan maintenance, check the state of the bolts and all the equipment components.
In the event of special maintenance, it is advisable to remove the entire fan from its housing; it is a good idea to use appropriate
tools in order to avoid damaging the machine.
WARNINgS
Should the impeller be removed, check the direction of rotation once it is reassembled. Only use original manufacturer spare
parts for the impeller. In the event the electric motor is replaced, carefully make sure that the replacement part has the same
features as the one it is replacing. In particular, make sure the rotation speed is the same (electromagnetic polarity number).
If impeller rotation speed is greater than what was designed, it can cause part of the impeller to detach, possibly projecting
fragments and creating a hazard for people or objects in the vicinity. At first start-up and after every replacement done on the
electric motor, make sure that current absorption falls within the plate values on the motor itself.
ATTENTION:
if the machine is installed far from the control panel and/or station, an omnipolar service switch must be installed in
the vicinity of the machine (accessory supplied on request).
For installation in cold areas and during the winter, avoid starting the impeller when there is ice on the blades.
Never access the rotating parts or disassemble the safety protections without having first made sure that the fan is not working
and cannot be started up and that the impeller is stopped.
All the operations contained in the “instructions for use” manual must be done by specified personnel. Failure to comply will void
the warranty and release Fantini Cosmi S.p.A. from all liability.

Important information concerning the environment friendly disposal of the appliance
This product conforms to EU Directive 2002/96/EC. The symbol of the barred waste bin indicates that, at the end of its useful life, the
product has to be collected separately from the domestic waste.
The user will have to take the product to a collection centre for waste electrical and electronic equipment, or return it to a retailer on
purchase of a replacement. Failure to do so may incur the penalties established by laws governing waste disposal.
Proper differential collection and the subsequent recycling, processing and environmentally compatible disposal of waste equipments
avoids unnecessary damage to the environment and possible related health risk and promotes also recycling of the materials used
in the appliance.
