To Configure a MPS Microphone with IP Connection to a VIPA Device:
1.
Ensure the VIPA device which is hosting the MPS microphone has been configured with correct
IP address.
2.
Add a standard
Microphone
node to the VIPA device.
3.
Configure the microphone IP connection as follows; see Figure 7 (page 38).

Audio Group
: Enter the following string:
<Live audio PMC address>

<Live audio PMC port>

Where:

<Live audio PMC address>: Multicast address assigned to the microphone audio
stream generated by the MPS microphone for live announcements.
IMPORTANT
:
The last octet MUST match the “unit-id” defined for the MPS microphone. Otherwise,
the microphone will not operate in fallback mode. Refer to Section “3.2 Configuration
File” (page 14) for further details.

<Live audio PMC port>: Communication port used for the microphone audio stream
generated by the MPS microphone.

<VIPA device IP address>: IP address of the VIPA device which is hosting the MPS
microphone, i.e. the parent VIPA device

<Port>: Communication port.
The communication port is only required when multiple MPS microphones are
connected to the VIPA device over the IP network. The VIPA device will use the default
port (15257) if the port is not defined.
The port number must be unique within the VIPA device.
Example: Control Port = JOUL:10.106.1.10:10.106.30.11:15257
