. Mount the brake so the radius of the disc runs approximately 1.5 mm below the outside
d
radius of the Friction Facings. And with an equal distance between the disc and Friction
Facings.
. Fix the part, M8 of Hub in the frame. Then stop rotating across flat by spanner. The
e
recommended tightening torque of Bolt, M8 is 32.2N m in case of the material of Bolt is
・
SCM.
3. AIR CONNECTIONS
. Use seal tape and gasket for pipe and pipe coupling installing in the brake to avoid air
a
leakage.
. Avoid seal tape going into the brake and air tubing.
b
. If the tightening torque is not enough, the air will leak. If it is too much, the screw thread
c
will be damaged.
. The recommended tightening torque of Rc 1/8 is from 7 to 9N m.
d
・
. For quick response of brake, a short tubing between the control valve and the brake
e
should be recommended.
. The volume of air chamber shall be minimum 4.56 cm and maximum 19.73 cm .

The volume of air chamber maximum is set for the time when a Friction Facings is

worn down 2 mm on each side.
CAUTION
Use flexible air tubing when connecting. Don't use the copper or steel pipe.
Use the brake with the air pressure under 0.6 MPa.
4. LUBRICATION
. Pneumatically actuated devices require clean, dry and pressure regulated air for maximum
a
performance and long life.
. For sealing, the packing is non-oil type.
b
Grease Shell, ALBANIA No. 3
is sealed in the brake in the beginning. So it is not
(
)
required oil mist.
5. MAINTENANCE
. The brake does not require any adjustment to maintain the certain torque lived.
a
. Sometime check Friction Facings and change them when grooves are worn down.
b
If you want to know how to exchange Friction Facings, refer to from "a" to "c" of

and from "b" to "f" of
.
6. THE CAUSES OF TROUBLE
. Air leakage from damage of packing.
a
. Damage of spring.
b
. Polluted air supply.
c
. Damage of air connections.
