Operationally safe condition
The battery is in a safe operating condition
when
– the battery is undamaged.
– the battery is clean and dry.
– the battery is working and has not been
modified.
Only use batteries approved by the engine
manufacturer.
A battery that is not safe can smoke or catch
on fire and cause life-threatening injuries or
major damage to property.
– Do not use a damaged or defective battery.
– Do not charge a damaged or defective bat-
tery.
– If the battery is dirty or wet: Clean the bat-
tery and let it dry.
– Do not open the battery.
– Do not make any changes to the battery.
– Do not insert any objects into the openings
of the battery.
– Do not use unauthorised batteries. Espe-
cially do not use non-rechargeable batteries.
Risk of injury due to damaged or defective
battery
If the battery is damaged, liquid may leak. The
liquid may cause skin irritation and burns.
– Avoid contact with the liquid.
– In case of contact with skin: Clean affected
skin areas with sufficient soap and water
and seek medical attention.
– In case of eye contact: Clean affected skin
areas with sufficient water and seek medical
attention.
A damaged or defective battery may smoke or
catch on fire and cause life-threatening injuries
or major damage to property.
– If the battery smokes: Do not use the battery
and keep it away from flammable materials.
– If the battery is burning: Use a fire extin-
guisher or extinguish with water.
– If the battery in the charger is burning: Pull
the mains plug of the charger from the
mains socket. Use a fire extinguisher or ex-
tinguish water.
Always store and transport a damaged or de-
fective battery in such a way that smoke or fire
cannot endanger people or cause damage to
property.
Additional information for backpack battery
The device must not be connected to and op-
erated with batteries that are worn on the body.
This also applies to the backpack battery.
The backpack battery may only be used if it is
firmly mounted on the device with the attach-
ments approved by “AS-Motor”.
Use the backpack battery only in combination
with
– the adapter for base carriers intended for
this device,
– the base carrier,
– and the batteries.
Only use the USB and 12 V DC connection on
the backpack battery when the engine is
switched off. In particular, do not use the con-
nections during mowing.
