12. Screw down the protection bow and the
protection skirt at the right side of the blade
hood (

) with a washer and a retaining
nut.
13. Insert the rear screw M6 at the side
panel (

) and screw down the protection
bow and the protection skirt.
14. Fasten the protection skirt at the protection
bow with the cable ties (
13
). Use one cable
tie for each opening provided in the protec-
tion skirt.
15. Close the overlapping protection skirt with
a cable tie.
Storage
Warning
A damaged or defective battery may smoke
or catch on fire and cause life-threatening
injuries or major damage to property.
► Always store and transport a damaged
or defective battery in such a way that
smoke or fire cannot endanger people or
cause damage to property.
► Dispose of a damaged or defective bat-
tery immediately in accordance with local
regulations.
► Follow the instructions in the chapters
“Safe handling of the battery” and “Safe
handling of the charger“.
Remove all batteries.
Before storing the device, carry out the tasks
described in chapter Maintenance.
Please also observe the storage instructions in
the enclosed operating manual of the motor
manufacturer and in the operating manual of
the battery and charger.
Store the device in a locked, dry and suffi-
ciently ventilated room and out of reach of chil-
dren. Always rectify faults of the device before
storage so that the device is always in opera-
tionally safe condition. Let the engine cool
down before you store the device in closed
rooms.
Keep the battery separate from the device to
prevent unauthorised use.
Automatic self-maintenance of the battery
The battery has an automatic self-maintenance
function to prolong its service life.
When 5 LEDs alternately light up red for 10
seconds and are off for 10 seconds or 5 LEDs
flash green every 2 seconds, the battery is per-
forming automatic self-maintenance.
During self-maintenance, the batteries can
heat up. Provide sufficient ventilation.
Longer storage
1.
Thoroughly clean the device.
2.
Touch up any possible damage to the
paint finish (for paint, see Accessories).
Before longer storage, e.g. in the fall, have an
authorised service centre check the device!
Notice
Do not store the battery in a fully charged or
discharged state.
► Store the battery with a charge level
between 30 % and 50 %.
► Charge the battery every 6 months when
the battery is stored.
Restarting
If you want to start the device after a longer
storage, carry out the tasks described in
chapter Maintenance.
