Prepare the Installation Site
Cabling Infrastructure
: Ensure the cabling infrastructure meets the necessary network specifications.
Installation Location
: Before installing the switch, plan its location and orientation relative to other
devices and equipment:

In the front of the switch, leave a minimum of 6 inches (15.24 cm) of space for the twisted-pair, fiber-
optic, and power cabling.

Installing the Power Supplies

The power supplies are built into units and must be installed in a cabinet or room (condensation free
environment and indoor location) that is relatively free of conductive contaminants.
JL817A
Observe all warnings and guidelines prior to installing the power supply.
