9. THE SEQUENCER
An on-board sequencer like the one provided by MiniBrute 2 is an essential tool in today's
music world: it can free the performer’s hands to adjust other parameters such as filters,
envelope settings or pitch while the sequencer keeps looping. You could even plug in more
patch cables while a sequence is being played.
MiniBrute 2 allows you to create up to eight unique sequences, and each sequence can be
up to 64 steps in length. The MiniBrute 2 even lets you transpose a sequence while it is
running by playing a key on the keyboard.
There is another setting that allows you to play live notes from the keyboard while the
sequence is looping, which temporarily overrides the sequenced notes until you stop playing
the keys.

9.1.1. Select and play a sequence

9.1.1.1. Seq / Arp toggle switch
To use the sequencer you must first set the Seq/Arp toggle switch to Seq. The position

9.1.1.2. Seq / Arp Mode encoder
Use the Seq/Arp Mode encoder to select one of the eight available sequences. If the
sequencer is already running, the MIDI Control Center allows you to specify when the next
sequence should start. See the

You can record your own music into any one of the eight sequences;

9.1.1.3. Transport section
Press the Play/Pause button and the sequence will start. Press it again to pause the
sequence, and another time to resume playback from where you stopped.
To start a sequence from the beginning, press the Stop button and then press Play again.
