8. SEQ / ARP: SHARED FEATURES
MiniBrute 2 provides a sequencer and an arpeggiator. You can record eight different
sequences, each with up to 64 steps. The arpeggiator generates notes based on the keys
you have pressed and plays them back according to the setting of the Seq / Arp Mode knob.
The Sequencer and the Arpeggiator share several features. We will focus on those features
in this chapter.
They also have distinct features, so we have dedicated a chapter to each one. See the
and
chapters to learn more.
8.1. Mode selection
8.1.1. Mode switch
When this switch is set to Seq a sequence can be played or recorded. Use the other controls
in this section to select the active sequence and the time division at which the sequence will
play back.
When the switch is set to Arp the other controls select the pattern and the time division for
the arpeggiator.
8.1.2. Seq / Arp Mode
The function of the Seq / Arp Mode knob changes depending on which mode is selected.
In Seq mode it selects which of the eight sequences is active. In Arp mode it selects which
pattern will be used to play back the notes you hold on the keyboard.
For a full explanation of these features, see the
and
chapters.
