2.5 Operation
2.5.1 Procedure of actions of the service personnel when using the product
DCN-2 requires an administrator and a duty engineer, whose functions can be
distributed or combined in accordance with the organizational structure of the enterprise.
In detail, the duties of officials when using DCN-2 are given in the document
RMLT.465275.002 "DCN Communication system. Operation Manual".
2.5.2 Configuring product links
After successfully powering on and booting the device, configure the DCN-2
connections. To do this, you can use the software for the administration of the digital DCN
system, the description of which is given in the document RMLT.465275.002 "DCN
Communication system. Operation manual. Part 2. Administrator's Guide".
2.5.3 Product switch-on and switch-off
The product switch-on is done by connecting the power supply voltage to the
connector «-48 GND 0V» and by turning on the PWR switch.
After initializing, DCN-2 executes the following functions

provides communication between the subscriber devices in accordance with the
configuration data;

performs initialization and controls the functionality of connected digital
subscriber devices and communication lines;

controls the functionality of the exchange unit nodes, with a display of control
information and error messages.
The product is switched-off using a turning off PWR switch, with all DCN-2 indicators
in an “OFF” state.
