The charging icon will not appear in the Arlo app until the solar panel has been in the sun
for a while. If you want to confirm that your camera is charging, you can wait for the charging
icon to appear, or you can check the camera’s battery percentage in the Arlo app from day to
day.

camera battery stays charged, so you don’t need to worry about recharging it. The solar panel is a
great low-maintenance solution for outdoor camera installations in hard-to-reach areas.
Although the Arlo Solar Panel is designed to keep your Arlo camera’s battery fully charged,
heavy usage of your camera can drain the camera battery faster than the solar panel can recharge
it. The 2-watt Arlo Solar Panel is designed to provide year-round trickle charging to keep your
Arlo camera battery charged, not to charge your camera battery from low to full.
VMA5600
The VMA5600 solar panel is compatible with the Arlo Ultra and Pro 3 cameras. It is
weatherproof and connects to your camera using the included weather-resistant 8-foot (2.4 m)
magnetic power cable.
VMA4600
The VMA4600 solar panel is compatible with the Arlo Pro 2, Pro, and Go cameras. It is
weatherproof and connects to the Micro-USB port on the Arlo Pro camera using the included
water-resistant 6-foot (1.8 m) cable.
