8.1 Setting the SHDSL Interface and Access Mode
Use the supplied xDSL cable to connect the ARGUS (Line jack) to the access to be tested
and then switch the ARGUS on. The initial setting display will depend on which access
setting was made last on this ARGUS (e.g. S-Bus and SHDSL accesses):
The Access Menu:
Select the type of access.
The selected type will be
marked in blue (in this
example, SHDSL 2-wire).
The ARGUS will set the type of access
to the one marked blue - SHDSL 2-wire.
The SHDSL mode menu will now open.
The ARGUS will use the marked SHDSL
mode (in this example, ATM). Another
menu will open in SHDSL mode, what is
know n as the access mode.
Access Mode Menu:
Select an SHDSL mode; the
selected SHDSL mode (in this
example, ATM) will be marked
blue.
