8.2

Shutting down the vehicle

Shut down the vehicle as follows:
1. Clean vehicle (refer to section 8.1).
2. Remove battery.
3. Charge battery (refer to section 7.7.1).
4. Drain fuel of the tank into a suitable container, e.g. spare can.
5. Close exhaust system with a clean cloth.
6. Apply preservative oil to bare metal parts such as e.g. piston rods of the shock 

absorbers (exception: brake discs and exhaust system).

7. Park vehicle in a closed, dry and level room.

Putting the vehicle into operation

Put the vehicle into operation as follows:
1. Remove preservative products.
2. Remove cloth from exhaust system.

3. Install a battery ready for operation.
4. Refill fuel (refer to section 6.11).
5. Perform checks before driving (refer to section 6.1).

ATTENTION

Before shutting the vehicle down for a longer period of time, it shall be main-
tained correctly at an authorised Arctic Cat specialist repair shop.

NOTE

If the vehicle is covered when shut down, do not use any airtight materials.

ATTENTION

Before installing the battery, turn the ignition key to OFF position.
