Outside of this range a “---“ will be displayed when a
measurement is taken, repeat the measurement inside
the 50-104°F (10-40°C) range aft er waiting at least
20 minutes. Do not subject the ARC InstaTemp to
temperatures above 104°F (40°C) or below 45°F (7°C).
• Do not use outside or close to a heat or cooling
source. Using the thermometer in these conditions
may aff ect the accuracy of the temperature reading.
• Do not allow the ARC InstaTemp thermometer to
become damp or immersed in water or other liquids.
• Do not touch the lens of the infrared sensor. Th
e
sensor is the most important and sensitive part of the
device.
• Do not attempt to measure body temperature with
the thermometer if:
a) Th
e thermometer has been exposed
extreme conditions.
b) It has been exposed to electric current or
electromagnetic fi elds.
c) It has been exposed to moisture.
d) It has been dropped or shows any signs of
damage or malfunction.
e) If there is any visible dust or dirt on the device
lens or in the device lens opening.
• Do not attempt to fi x or repair the thermometer
yourself.
