• Remove any debris, algae, or buildup as needed.
• Periodically clean the pump’s sponge filter by removing the
intake screen when the pump is turned off (Ex. 9).
• Periodically clean the pump by removing it from the bottom of
the filter (Ex. 10). First disconnect the tubing from the bottom
of the filter, then slide the pump away from the waterfall to
remove.
• To clean the pump, open the water chamber cover to access
and clean the internal impeller using white vinegar or Aquascape Pump Cleaner Maintenance Solution (#91143).
• If desired, conduct a water change 1-2 times per month by removing up to 20% of the water and replacing with fresh water.
General Maintenance
• Add the mixed gravel to the bottom of the container, then
add the clay media to the upper filter (Ex. 6).
• If adding plants, rinse existing soil or fertilizer from roots,
then insert the roots into the clay media (Ex. 7).

• Connect the plant light by inserting into the port at the
back of the plant and waterfall filter (Ex. 3).
• Plug the waterfall light, plant light, and pump into the
included controller with pre-attached transformer (Ex. 4).
NOTE:
The controller features designated ports for the
Waterfall Light, Pump, and Plant Light. See the icons
above the switches on the controller (Ex. 5).
NOTE:
Select water loving plants, such as small marginal
plants.
NOTE:
Depending on plantings, you may not need to use
all clay media.
• Top with the polished black
gravel to anchor plants
and/or clay media (Ex. 8).
NOTE:
Do not plant/fill the
upper filter so much that
water begins dripping water
over the back of the filter.
• Fill the AquaGarden with
fresh water.
NOTE:
It is recommended to use Pond Detoxifier (sold
separately) to remove chlorine from tap water making it
safe for fish and plants.
• Once container is mostly full, turn on the pump and lights
as desired.
NOTE:
The fountain is designed for continuous use. It is
recommended to run the pump/waterfall 24/7 to maintain
ideal water conditions.
NOTE:
Keeping the lights on for excessive periods of time
can lead to issues with water quality and algae growth.
