USING ONE MICROPHONE
Once the general area of the fault has been located using ballistic impulse, it is time
to us a microphone.
1.
Connect one microphone. Turn on the microphone being used (red or green)

. The ‘Time/Depth information window’ will show that channel as
“ON” when that microphone is connected to the electronics.
2. Since direction to fault will require two microphones, the second microphone
needs to be with the operator during the search. Keep that channel turned off
until that microphone is needed.
3.
Blue Tooth headphones will aid in hearing weak thump sounds.
