5.3 Attaching to the tractor
For this method of attachment, you need a three-point support, available from APV
as an accessory! You should use bolts with a diameter of 12mm and quality 8.8 or
higher. As an example, you can also: use a pallet fork or a three-point loader
(transport trough, tail shovel)! In this case, you must ensure that these devices are
designed to carry a payload of one ton and that they are correctly fixed!
5.4 Assembling the dispersion plates
The baffle plates can be installed by means of the standard supplied serial hexagonal
shaft or directly (without hexagonal shaft) to the tilling equipment.
The following points must be observed when attaching to the working tool (cultivator,
harrow, etc.):
•
For the installation of the dispersion plates, the side "lugs" must be bent
backwards with pliers (ca. 80°, see fig.: 6) and then welded on permanently or
screwed on to the working implement with the hexagonal shaft.
•
In order to prevent the dispersion plates moving laterally on the hexagonal
shaft, fasten the dispersion plates in place with a chisel and a few blows of a
hammer (see fig.: 7).
•
The dispersion plates should be distributed evenly over the entire width of the
working tool (max. 75 cm)!
•
The dispersion plates should be ca. 40 cm from the ground!
•
The seed hoses connect with the dispersion plates perpendicularly, (at an
angle of 90°). The dispersion plates should therefore also be mounted
perpendicularly (at an angle of 90°) to the hexagonal shaft! (see fig.: 5)
