Using Parental Control

About Parental Control
Passport DCT provides parental control so that you can restrict viewing of
certain channels, ratings, titles and time periods. For example, you would
use parental control if you are a parent and do not want your children to be
able to watch certain channels or programs with mature content, or if you
want to restrict TV watching at certain times, like late in the evening. You
can also restrict purchasing so that household members must enter a PIN to
be able to purchase a program.
To use parental control, you first specify which channels, ratings, time
period you want locked. You can also decide to turn the title lock on or off.
Then you turn on locking. When parental control locking is on, the
channels, ratings, titles, and the time period you specified are locked. To
watch the locked programming or set timers, you must enter the PIN. The
display below shows what you see when you select a locked channel.
