SNMP Community Settings
Use this area to configure the strings for read and write community for SNMP. If you do not use these
then leave them as default. Read community is normally public and write community is normally private.

– Unit Settings
6.5.7.1
Log Settings
This function allows for the logging of alarms and events to be disabled if required. Disabling the
logs is recommended for users who do not use the NMS regularly to retrieve logs as large ac-
cumulated log files can cause glitching when the file is being trimmed to size.

Unit Passwords
This will enable unit passwords. If this box is checked and the password is entered, the user
will be prompted to enter a password to gain access to the unit from the NMS tree view.
