Carefully read p. 61 (MAINTENANCE).
Check the switches after the first 625 mi
(1,000 km) and thereafter every 3,750 mi
(6,000 km).
The vehicle is equipped with four switch-
es:
– stoplight switch on the rear brake pedal
(1);
– stoplight switch on the front brake lever
(2);
NOTE
To be able to check the stoplight
switch on the front brake lever (2) is neces-
sary remove the right hand-guard, see
p. 82 (REMOVING THE HAND-GUARDS).
– safety switch on the side stand (3);
– clutch lever switch (4).
NOTE
To be able to check the clutch le-
ver switch (4) is necessary remove the left
hand-guard, see p. 82 (REMOVING THE
HAND-GUARDS).

Make sure that there is no dirt or mud on
the switch. The switch pin must move
freely and without interference, returning
automatically to its unapplied position.

Check the spring (5); it must not be dam-
aged, worn or stretched.
