Performing a Run

3. To change the temperature and/or time for the step, see

Editing

Temperature and

Time

1. Touch any temperature field to select it, then edit the temperature as desired.

Touch any time field to select it, then edit the time as desired.

2. You can edit any other times, temperatures, (or the number of cycles for a stage)

without closing the editor.

a. Touch the field.

b. Touch the keys in the editor.

c. Repeat for any other field.

3. Touch

Done

to close the editor.

Editing Ramp

Rates

You can edit the rate at which the instrument ramps to the temperature for the step.
The default ramp rate is 100%.

Note:

You cannot edit ramp rates for methods created using the Convert Method

wizard (see

“Using GeneAmp

PCR System 9700 Run Methods” on page 5-2

1. Touch a step to select it.

2. Touch

The field displaying time changes to display the ramp rate.

3. Touch the ramp field, then enter the desired ramp rate.

Ramp rates from 0.1 to 100% are valid.

4. Touch

Done

to close the editor.

The ramp rate symbol

appears next to any step with a ramp rate less than

100%.
