Creating New Folders in Projects
1. Right-click in the Data Explorer and select “New > Folder”
2. Select the parent project or folder for the folder you wish to create
3. Specify the folder name
4. By default, the folder will be created in the project’s directory structure on your hard drive. It is possible, however,
to associate the folder with a project but to store the data in a different location. If you wish to specify a different
location on your hard drive to create the folder, click the “Advanced” button, select the “Link to alternate location
(Linked Folder)” option, and specify the folder on your hard drive that you wish to store this folder’s data in.
5. Click “Finish”
6. To make this your current working directory, click on the “Change” button in the Working Directory Tool and choose
the new folder.
Plotting
To plot a recorded file, either double-click on the file in the Data Explorer, or right-click on the file and select the “Plot”
option. The plot dialogue enables you to specify the monitor to plot.
Workspaces
Your workspace contains all of your recorded data and application settings. You can create and use multiple
workspaces to organize and partition your data at a high level. One use case is to have different users on a shared
computer each use a workspace in their own user directory to prevent other users from accessing their data. To
create a new workspace or switch to a different, existing one, click on “File” and select “Switch Workspace” from the
menu bar.
