Installation:
1. Connect and secure the power adapter. The status indica-
tor will light green.
2. Connect the SDI output to the receiving device via a coax
cable. If only one output is to be used, terminate the oth-
er with the included 75 ohm terminator.
3. Use the internal color bar test signals to ensure proper
connectivity between the DA-HDTV-SDI and the receiving
device. Select the appropriate test signal resolution and
rate using the Mode Switch positions 2 through 9.
4. Set the rotary switch to position 0 (default).
5. Connect a HDMI signal to one or the other input of the DA-
HDTV-SDI. The status indicator will light steady amber
when the unit has locked on to the input video signal. (2
to 10 seconds)
6.
If the input signal is a 1080p 50/59.94/60 signal (3G) and
the receiving SDI equipment is not 3G capable, set the
mode switch to position 1. This will convert 1080p signals
into 1080i signals.
Notes:
This unit does not alter the incoming resolution or refresh
rate. Source and receiving equipment must be compatible.
(i.e.: if the source outputs 60 Hz and the receiving SDI
equipment can only tolerate 59.94 Hz signals there will
exist an incompatibility. The DA-HDTV-SDI is not responsi-
ble for this incompatibility.)
The DA-HDTV-SDI has a factory set, generic EDID on the
HDMI input port. If a different EDID is required by your
source, then an EDID emulator should be installed.
