This information note is exclusively for owners of appliances that have the symbol on the product’s rating label.
This symbol indicates that, in accordance with current regulations, the product is classified as an electrical or electronic appliance and complies with EC
Directive 2002/96 (WEEE). Therefore, at the end of its useful life, it must be handled separately from household waste, and must be taken to a collection
centre for waste electrical and electronic equipment or returned to the dealer at the time of purchasing a new equivalent appliance.
The user is responsible for disposing of this appliance through the appropriate channels at the end of its useful life. Failure to do so may result in the
penalties established by the laws governing waste disposal.
Proper separate waste collection, and subsequent recycling, processing and environmentally-friendly disposal of waste equipment helps to prevent any
negative effects on human health and the environment and promotes the recycling of the product components.
For more information regarding the collection systems available, contact your local waste disposal centre or the store where the appliance was purchased.
Manufacturers and importers shall be responsible for the recycling, treatment and environmentally-friendly disposal both directly and by participating in
a collective system.
