HANDS-FREE VISOR LIGHT SYSTEM
– INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
This instruction is valid for installation of the Trellchem® Hands-Free Visor Light System in Trellchem gastight suits of encapsulating
design type VP1 and CV.
The kit consists of the following parts:
• LED holder (plastic frame with installed LED lamps)
• Battery casing (9V battery not included)
• Battery pack holder with cable loop and elastics
• Cable loop (short)
• Screwdriver (type Phillips)
• Instructions for use
Optional extension kit (for use for alternative positioning of
the battery casing) contains
:
• Extension cable
• Cable loops (2 short, 2 long)
Not included but required

• 9V battery
• Measuring tape
• Masking tape
• Scissors
• Pen
Pre-use information
Upon opening the box, make sure your LED kit is complete.
Connect the LED holder to the battery and verify functionality
before installing the parts in your suit.
Read the complete instruction before installing the parts in
your suit.
Safety precautions
Always follow good safety practice and make sure donning
and doffing of the chemical protective suit is done in a safe en-
vironment free from chemicals including gases and potentially
explosive atmospheres.
Make sure the lid of the battery casing is closed before don-
ning.
Battery - General instructions
Open the battery casing on sticker/label side only.
For suits in operation, check the battery regularly to make
sure it functions. Replace after each use.
Remove battery before putting suits in storage.
Take out the battery pack before washing the suit. Wash the
suit according to instructions in the Trellchem suit manual.
Expected duration of the light
Depending on the type of battery, you can expect the follow-
ing approximate duration of the LED light:
• Standard alkaline battery: 1 h
• Duracell Ultra Power: 2 h
• Varta Lithium: 6 h (at +20°C/+68°F)
Proper battery installation

1. Insert a 9V battery into the battery casing.
a) With the screwdriver, open the battery casing on the label/
sticker side by unscrewing the 4 screws (the kit is delivered
with the lid open).
b) Insert the battery according to the +/- marks inside the cas-
ing.
c) Close the casing by tightening the screws.
