Swiss fondue with tomatoes
Ingredients
1kg Gruyere cheese, grates
2 large tomatoes, seeded and chopped
1 clove crushed garlic
2 teaspoons cornflour, mixed to a paste with water
50cl dry white wine
Method
1.
Place all the ingredients in the bowl.

Heat gently on setting 2, stirring the ingredients continuously.
3.
Serve in cubes with crusty bread and or boiled potatoes.
4.
Serve silver skin onions and pickled gherkins as accompaniments.
Oil
Method
1.
Heat 1 litre of sunflower oil at setting 5 for approx. 15 minutes.
2.
Mean while cut steak, chicken, pork fillet into 1.5cm strips.
3.
Place a strip of meat onto the fondue fork and immerse it in the hot oil until
its cooked to your required taste.
You can also make delicious dipping batter for prawns, fish and vegetables.
