3.3
Commissioning
Place the Biometra TOne thermal cycler on a solid, non-flammable surface in a se-
cure and dry environment. Consider the specific ambient conditions: 15 °C to 30 °C,
max. 70 % air humidity, max. 2000 m above sea.
Allow the Biometra TOne thermal cycler to equilibrate to room temperature before
switching it on.
Ensure adequate ventilation around the device, otherwise the device's performance
may be impaired. A minimum distance of 10 cm should be maintained behind the
thermal cycler between the rear of the device and a wall or other objects.
If several thermal cyclers stand next to each other and are operated simultaneously,
we recommend a lateral distance of at least 10 cm between the devices.
Make sure that the power switch on the controller and the power cable are easily ac-
cessible. This is important if the device needs to be disconnected from the power
supply.
Make sure that the ventilation slots at the sides and the bottom of the device are un-
obstructed.
Make sure that there are no objects underneath the device (e.g., paper) that may be
sucked against the ventilation slot and thus interfere with ventilation.
