Due to the Binding Buffer, the nucleic acids are bound to the magnetic particles.
During the next step a bar magnet enters the plastic insert within the MFR –
Tips, by what the magnetic particles with the bound nucleic acid will be fixed on
the insert in consequence of the magnetic field. Beside this, the contamination
of the bar magnets could be restricted completely by the plastic cover.

Sample processing
Washing
The magnetic particles with the bound nucleic acid are moved to the next tubes.
By up and down pipetting of different washing buffers the nucleic acid is
purified.
Thereby the number, the amount and the kind of washing buffers is depending
on the type of used starting material. Additional the buffers differs in case of
DNA or RNA isolation.

Removing of Ethanol
A special Ethanol Removing Buffer ensures by up and down pipetting the
complete elimination of ethanol traces on the magnetic particles and thus inside
the nucleic acid.
