Audio Sample Packets

By setting

audioif_cc[2:0]

to a value greater then 2 (that is, 3 channel or more), the eight channel audio packet format will be used. The

I2S can be routed to different subpackets using the following fields:

The

audioif_ca[7:0]

must be set to a speaker mapping that corresponds to the I2S input stream to subpacket routing. Using SPDIF has a

default setting of two channels.

The audio packets use the channel status format conforming to the IEC 60958 specification. When the part is configured to receive an I2S

stream, the information sent in the channel status fields is provided by the following fields:
