Searching for Media

Searching For a CD or DVD

There are two possible approaches to searching for media in the Media Library:

 

Via the Find Media dialog. The options in this dialog allow you to specify various filters 

for the search.

 

Via the Find tab of the Media Library Bar. This method offers fewer options than the Find 

Media dialog, but is simpler to use.

Searching for Media Via the Find Media Dialog

1.

Select 

Media Library > Find

 (or click the toolbar button) to open the Find Media dialog 

(FIG. 4). 

2.

Select/de-select the search options to best suit the search you want to perform.

3.

Click 

OK

 to perform the search.

Search results are displayed in the Find tab of the Media Library Bar.

Searching For Media Via the Find Tab

A simpler alternative to using the Find Media dialog is to search via the Find tab in the Media 

Library Window. This method bypasses the search options in the Find Media dialog, but is simpler 

to use. 

1.

Select the 

Find

 tab in the Media Library Bar.

2.

Enter a search string into the 

Find

 field.

3.

Press 

Enter

 to begin the search.

Search results are displayed in the Find tab.
