GUIDELINES CONCERNING THE SAFETY OF USE

The appliance is intended for household

use only.

The manufacturer reserves the right to

introduce changes which do not affect the

operation of the appliance.

l

The kitchen hood was designed for re-

moval of kitchen fumes to the outside.

It should be connected to an appropri-

ate ventilation duct (do not connect the

hood to any chimney, smoke or flue-gas

ducts which are already in use).

l

The safe distance between a cooker

and the hood should be at least 650

mm.  If  a  cooker  manual  specifies  an

-

other distance, this should be taken into

ac- count (fig. 2).

l

Do not leave an open flame under the

hood. When removing pots from the

burners  set  the  flame  to  its  minimum

level.

l

Any food cooked in fat shall be con-

stantly monitored, since overheated fat

can ignite very easily.

l

The  textile  grease  filter  should  be  re-

placed, and the aluminium filter should

be cleaned at least every 2 months in

connection with the existing fire danger

(saturated fat is very flammable).

l

Remove the plug of the power cord from

a wall socket before any filter cleaning

or repair operation.

l

If any other non-electric devices are

used in the same room as the hood

(e.g.  liquid  fuel  ovens,  flow-through  or

volumetric water heaters), it is neces-

sary to provide appropriate ventilation

(air supply).  Simultaneous operation

of the hood and combustion devices is

safe and possible providing the air sup-

ply is maintained at a negative pressure

of not more than 0.004 millibar at the lo-

cation of these devices inside the room

(this point does not apply when the

hood is used as an odour absorber).

l

When connecting to 230V power supply

network use an electric socket in work-

ing order.

l

Do not lean on the hood

l

Hood should be cleaned every month -

see point “Cleaning” in this manual.

l

If the power wire gets broken, a new re-

placement should be fitted a specialist

repair shop.

l

Some parts of the hood may become

hot when the appliance is operating.

UNPACKING

l

  The device was protect-

ed against damage for

the time of transport.

l

  Please remove and dis-

pose of the packaging

in an   environmentally

- friendly way. All materi-

als used for packaging are environment

friendly, can be 100% recycled and are

marked with appropriate symbols

  Warning! The packaging materials

(polyethylene bags,   small   pieces

of  foamed  polystyrene  etc.)  should

be kept away from children while un

-

packing.

RECOMMENDATIONS

l

Before you connect the hood to the

power supply and check whether it

functions correctly, you must first check

if the wire has been properly installed

and that it has NOT been pinned down

by the hood while it was being mount-

ed.

by persons (including children) with lim-

ited physical or mental capabilities and

arity with the appliance.

use the appliance.
