Power Limit Setting
The power limit setting (Op.Hi) of the Eurotherm control instrument must be set
as shown in the table below (See also Fig.16, Section 11.0):
Supply voltage (V)

If the supply voltage is specified at the time of ordering, the unit will be shipped
with the appropriate setting.
Note
All elements are marked with current ratings in the region 20 to 30
amps. The order in which they are installed is not critical. However, to
maximise element life, the three circuits each having two elements must
be matched so that the amp rating per circuit is similar.
For example, if the current ratings of the 6 elements were 22, 23, 24,
25, 26, 27 amp then the 3 circuits would be:
22 + 27 = 49 amp
23 + 26 = 49 amp
24 + 25 = 49 amp
9) Re-attach the earth strap and replace the two rear plates.
10) Use a thermocouple sheath or piece of wooden dowel of 8mm diameter to
ensure that the groove in the cavity aligns with the hole in the rear plate.
If the sheath will not slide into the source freely, gently turn the cavity
from the front until the correct position is found. It may help to exert a
small amount of upward pressure onto the sheath so that the ‘hot’ end is
pressed down into the groove in the cavity.
11) The temperature of the source can be measured using a certified
thermocouple. If this is the method of cavity temperature measurement
to be adopted, prepare the thermocouple for insertion. Before insertion,
measure a distance of 470mm from the hot end of the thermocouple. With
a pencil, draw a mark on the thermocouple sheath source corresponding to
this distance. Insert the thermocouple until the pencil mark is in line with
the painted rear plate. This is the correct position for the thermocouple.
Lock the sliding plate (on the back cover) into place.
