• The possible recording time depends on the type of video tape used.
• Audio recording is possible in the A3, A12, A18 and A24 hour modes.
• The A12 and A24 modes are time lapse modes.
(*1): In L01 mode, the VTR is set to recording pause mode. The alarm recording starts by an alarm trigger signal input, and the VTR is
set to recording pause mode again to wait for next alarm trigger input. When recording pause mode continues for 1 min, without
an alarm trigger input, the VTR forwards the tape about one field to protect the tape and the video head from damage.
(*2): A recording can not be made in the A6 mode. Only the playback operation will be made.

HOW TO OPERATE 24 HOUR VIRTUAL REAL TIME MODE
• In order to operate 24 hour virtual real time mode, please use E-240 VHS video tape with A18 record mode. A18 mode means
that E-180 tape will run 18 hours. However, if you use longer length of video tape which is E-240, it will record up to 24 hours
with A18 mode. Also, when you use A18 mode for recording, you will get 16.7 fields of video information per second, A24
mode will be less than 6 fields video information per second. (Refer to the above chart for the details.)
• When using the E-240 tape, it will be necessary to replace the tape with new one and make a cleaning of the mechanical deck
of this VTR more frequently. Because, the thickness of E-240 tape is about 3/4 of E-180 tape, so durability, mechanical
strength, etc. of the tape are inferior to E-180 tape.
