Connections
Interface Connectors
Eight 12-pin connectors on the rear of the AD2083-02C Code Distributor panel are used for transmitting and
receiving codes with domes and J-boxes. The transmit (T) and receive (R) signal positions are labeled on each
connector. Each connector is supplied with a mating screw terminal connector (see Figure 4). Simplex only
requires connection to transmit.

Control Code Connector
The upper right connector on the rear of the AD2083-02C Code Distributor is a 12-pin connector. This is used to
receive Control Code signals from 1650 or 2150 switcher units (B, W, and S lines) and to provide access to an
internal Form C alarm relay. When the AD2083-02C receives an alarm from any SpeedDome, the internal alarm
relay closes. This relay can be used for turning accessories (VCR, etc.) on or off via its Normally Open (NO) or
Normally Closed (NC) terminals. The mating screw terminal connector is shown below (see Figure 5).

Connections on the above 12-pin connectors are easily made by inserting signal and ground wires into the slots
of the Pin1 mating connectors and tightening the hold down screws. When all wires have been connected, insert
the 12-pin mating connectors into the rear panel.
